Families and fishing enthusiasts are invited to Grafton Lakes State Park for Trout Day on April 17, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.
The event promises a day filled with trout-themed activities, including crafts, educational booths, and trout-shaped treats. Attendees can learn about trout habitats, fly tying, and macroinvertebrates.
The Department of Environmental Conservation will bring trout at noon, and participants can help stock the ponds.
Following the event, children under 16 can learn to fish, while those 16 and older must have a valid New York State fishing license to participate.
Admission is $3 per person, with children 5 and under entering for free. No pre-registration is required, and the event is wheelchair accessible.
